Workshop/Course Description:

In this workshop Siobhan will provide members with key information on The Gold Standard in Breast Cancer Rehabilitation – The Prospective Surveillance Model (PSM) which was developed in 2012 by a roundtable of international clinical experts, researchers and the American Cancer Society. The model is evidenced based and is the future of breast cancer rehabilitation. It integrates breast cancer rehabilitation into the regular standard of care of surveillance and early detection of the common side effects of breast cancer treatment for optimal functional outcomes. This model of care is becoming the standard in the accreditation of cancer centres in the USA, Canada, Sweden and Australia.
